We're almost there--2 days 'til we leave!

Well...we've all been packing, running to the store, and packing some more. One might think it's not too hard to pack when all you carry is a backpack, but I have recently learned otherwise. In an effort to reduce bulk and weight, we have done everything from removing all the clothing from our lists that's not absolutely essential to shaving deodorant off the stick and into little containers...ounces add up. I've carefully packed food for our first segment and stashed some more in my suitcase for my visit to Maniwaki mid-journey. With all that said, we're almost ready for our adventure!

Physical aspects of the journey aside, my heart really doesn't know what it's in for yet :-) My life has been even crazier than normal this past week as I've attempted to sort through all the things that need to be taken care of for Vanderbilt in the fall...housing, health forms, registration, and more. I've also been adjusting to a dwindling number of nights in my own bed and hours with my friends and family. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what the Lord reveals to me once all of that stuff goes away (at least for awhile) in just a few days. Story to be continued...read on!
