Day #10, Back in the saddle and the trail legs are coming--miles hiked: 14.6

This morning, our hostel host, Jeff delivered us back to the trail. Right out of the parking lot, we started climbing up Bromely Mountain (a popular ski area). When we got close to the top, the trail broke out onto one of the slopes.
It was a green, but it felt more like a black diamond on foot.
A few miles down the trail, we thoguht we had found a water source...but after pumping hard for several minutes, all we got was rusty water laced with iron--yuck.
We apologize for the lack of Kyle picture recently. We really don't have a good excuse...
We settled down for the night in a tiny shelter named "Lost Pond" before the rain started (we has yet another totally dry walk when rain was predicted). Here's a picture of the log book--notebooks placed in most shelters and other places where hikers record their experiences and communicate.
