Day #6 update, we hitch hiked on a semi truck!

After our "final meal" in town, we set out to hitch hike the 5 miles or so back to the trail. Emily and I are still developing our skills, and we were having a bit of trouble finding a ride. We started walking up he street to find a better location as a giant red semi truck headed down the road. Mr. Berry jokingly told us we could give it a try, and sure enough, he stopped for us! We had to climb 4-5 feet up into the cab and learned a whole lot about trucking as the driver (a sweet old man) drove us and 76,000 pounds of paper up the mountain. What an adventure!
